A lower openness fabric is not the same as blackout. View-through and privacy also change with the light on each side of the window.

Roller shades use a continuous fabric panel that rolls onto a tube. They do not have the horizontal slats found in venetian blinds.
Do not rely on view-through solar screen fabric for nighttime privacy. When indoor lights are brighter, people outside may be able to see in. Consider a more opaque fabric for that need.
